Overview

This guide will help you set up and download backups from the ClientTrack Database Vault using Microsoft Azure Storage Explorer.

1. Installation

  • Start by installing the Microsoft Azure Storage Explorer and follow the standard installation instructions.

  • Ensure the system downloading the backup has network access to the server running Microsoft SQL Server.

2. Authentication

Your Database Vault Storage Account will be authenticated using a Shared Access Signature (SAS) provided by Eccovia.

(1) Open Storage Explorer:

  • Launch Microsoft Azure Storage Explorer.
(It will prompt you to add an authentication method)
  • If the connection prompt doesn't appear, click the “plug” icon to open it.

(2) Select Connection Type:

  • Choose Blob Container.

  • Select Shared Access Signature URL (SAS).

(3) Enter SAS URL:

  • Paste the SAS URL from the ShareFile into the Blob container SAS URL box.

  • Ensure the Display name shows as 'sqlbaks' (or another user-friendly name you choose).

    • *Example URL* (for illustration only):
